hi "realise"
hi "GilbyDeviant"

Hope you enjoy this site and find out all you need to know ;)
By virtue of their electrical properties, tubes generate a special waveform when they're saturated, which is why tube engineering has tremendous tonal advantages over solid state or DSP solutions, particularly for crunch and lead sounds. Tubes enter the saturation zone gradually or softly, which lends tube-driven tone its trademark yet totally unique character.

Hi realise and gilby welcome to the board. :D

Don't feed the mods, they bite.
Jimmie showed me alot of stuff, but there was a time when he warned, 'If you ask me to show you anything again, I'll kick your ass.' Well, I did and he did. - SRV

Yeah, man,I hope no one's trying to make this look like a media player visualization.
You new kids on the block;you're going to love this site.Besides the guitar info(which I hardly ever use,but that's me to blame),the folks around here are...uhm... interesting.
And while we are at it,I'm looking at this page and can't see where to start a new thread.
And when I log in,it's not offering me to view the new posts since I last logged in.

Hmmm... maybe it could be THAT HUGE BUTTON THAT SAYS "NEW THREAD"!?!?!?

Also, mods have no control over the format of the site. Jon's the one who has the ultimate power.
... and that's all I have to say about that.

What huge button?
Seriously speaking I don't see it.Point out exactly where on the page it is,coz it's entirely possible that it's done in colors that I'm blind too,and that would be a rather shocking discovery for me.
I see the quote, post reply buttons.I don't see the new thread buttons.
The mods are pals with Jon,they can talk to him.

You've got to get out of this thread and into the Open Discussion section to be able to see it.

I never go to the open discussion or any specific forum directly. What I do is type guitartricks.com/forum into my browser, then log in,then click on new posts since I last visited. So that's why I can't see the new thread button.
And I must say that forum conversations should go much like face to face conversations;when you're with a bunch of people talking about somethig and you want to add your two cents, you simply add. There's no about and around way of doing it.You want to raise a new issue, same. You just do it.And so it should be that when you're ina present discussion here and want to say something, click post reply.Want to start a new discussion, click new thread.Simple.
LIKE IT USED TO BE!!
