First off, Im new here and I love it!, Ive been playing.... well "playing with" my guitar for years...But Im not that good. Its not a real gift for me I have to work at it. I have wrote a few tunes but nothing I can call a winner. I just play for fun and my kids, (they think I'm great). about all I know are the basic basics. Not all the chords but a few of them. I like ROCK, but seem to write better country music. I guess because I like to pick chords out, and play my "box guitar" My electric is a Yamaha rgx 603s (I think its the only one still around, cant find anyone that has one)
My "BOX"(acoustics) one is a "K" and the other is a "Samick" most likley cheap junk but they sound good and have sentimental value (got them from my dad) I dont have any effect pedals, I have an old CRATE amp (GX 212) Still works and sounds good.
My Names is James, and Im 37, live in south Ga. and if any one has the tab for Van Hallens black and Blue I sure woud like a copy........

...Welcome to the wastelands of the internet, my friend. Here, you can be 'in' with the 'out' group. The out group, of course, being guitarists. :) No wait, that's drummers. HAHAHAHHAHA.

umm... ive kind of run out of things to say to new people. Well, i hope you enjoy this site and you can find out pretty much anything you want on this forum. Also remember you can also contribute by adding your own little tips and tricks :)
By virtue of their electrical properties, tubes generate a special waveform when they're saturated, which is why tube engineering has tremendous tonal advantages over solid state or DSP solutions, particularly for crunch and lead sounds. Tubes enter the saturation zone gradually or softly, which lends tube-driven tone its trademark yet totally unique character.
