I've been souping up a "sentimental value" les paul copy for the past few months, and the time has come to change the bridge - the plastic saddles are very worn.
I've bought a brand new tunamatic on ebay with large studs. The old bridge has slim threaded inserts with thumb wheels, so i've got 2 very different bridges despite both being tunamatic. Anyway, i'm having a nightmare of a job to get the threaded inserts out of the body. They're surrounded by what looks like a washer, but for all i know it may have more significance - but that won't budge either......
Any ideas? Whats the proper way to do this? and when it is out, do i just drill to make the wholes wider for the new studs???
Any advice or links to useful pages would be excellent
Cheers
Harry
