Put it much lower, say.. half 250. 125 (lets put it at 120 just for the hell of it). At 120... try 16th notes, 32nd, 16th triplets, septuplets, quintuplets, etc etc. I mean, if you CAN, try these at 250.. but I know I sure can't! :P
And you SHOULD care about little things like... you know, music. I've gotten plenty of gigs, over more qualified guitarists, simply because I can read music so well, and I know so much about it. The bands may not get the flashiest, craziest guitar playing.. but they're not going to have to waste hours of time trying to explain simple concepts to someone.
