I don't know if this is possible or not, but I was thinking about dedicating a section to home recordings. I mean, people make a tune and post it and they're spread all across creation in this site. I think if we had a dedicated spot people would, or I personally, would consider it a bit more organized.

I was thinking of maybe renaming the Recording section to -

'Recording and Your Finished Products' or 'Recording Questions and Critiques' ... something along those lines.

The Recording section is the least used section in the forum afterall. What do you think about that? (I don't know too much about code or webdesign, I don't know if it's even possible).

Plus the definition would have to be changed as well.

That sounds really great. The only thing is, there might not be enough space on the server to do it, or something along those lines.......

But its a good idea alright. Chack out the thread I'm starting too, its about another idea with home recorded songs.

Oh I didn't mean have the files downloadable from this server, just an area dedicated to postings of peoples files, likes URLs and such.

Sounds good to me. Just puting links up to your songs wont take up server space so it should be fine :D
By virtue of their electrical properties, tubes generate a special waveform when they're saturated, which is why tube engineering has tremendous tonal advantages over solid state or DSP solutions, particularly for crunch and lead sounds. Tubes enter the saturation zone gradually or softly, which lends tube-driven tone its trademark yet totally unique character.

You can use the recording forum as an MP3 clinic by uploading your MP3 to a the web (like songramp.com) then post a link.

We talked about the possibility of providing some space for MP3s however as this site already exceeds its bandwidth, it is unlikely to happen in the forceable future.
My instructors page and www.studiotrax.net for all things recording.

I haven't dealt too much in the realm of recording of late due to the extensive physical exercise and drinking involved in my profession.

To allow for some home recordings posting...?

Doesn't it already do so?

Theres nothing stopping you from posting links to your music!

This is pointless.

well bobby, if you'd read my original post you'd realize that my initial idea was to simply reorganize the categories to account for tune postings. ie - recording/posting or something.

I did read it.

I just don't see how the current design of the forum doesn't allow for that..
