hey Slasher, i think that is a good deal, but dr simon is right. Just get an all tube amp if you want the warm sound. Or just get a solid state. I dont see the point in valvestate amps... they just seem like a cheap crappy tube amp.
I think the tsl 150 is a valvestate amp. Maybe it was that !
By virtue of their electrical properties, tubes generate a special waveform when they're saturated, which is why tube engineering has tremendous tonal advantages over solid state or DSP solutions, particularly for crunch and lead sounds. Tubes enter the saturation zone gradually or softly, which lends tube-driven tone its trademark yet totally unique character.
