Hi All,

Everytime I try to listen to a MP3 audio clip at Guitar Tricks on Windows Media Player 7.1 I get this error:

Windows Media Player Error:
Not enough storage to complete this this operation.

Does anyone know how I can correct this?

Thanks and Love You,
PeaceMaker

I'm no IT but I'm assuming you don't have enough space on your harddrive. Erase a couple of the porn vids and try again.

Thanks basics,

No porn here... I have 26GB of free space on my HD so I don't think that's the problem... Any other ideas?

Could You see If You could play it? Just click on the "Listen" link when You get to this page at:

http://www.guitartricks.com/2000/trick.php?trick_id=7358

Thanks.

I'm a Mac user so I don't know how much help I'll be.
But usually when I get an error like this it's either the application needs more ram to run...if you're already familiar with this sorry, but I usually find the prefered size is always set too low for audio applications.
Or the app is corrupted and you need to re-install it.
If you're running it from within your browser you might have to increase the preferred memory of that too.
Best bet is use Quicktime. Starts up instantly and begins playing as it's loading

Yeah man, it worked for me. I hit the open button instead of the save as one. Is it just that particular link that doesn't work for you? Have you already listened to a bunch of files because there's a cap on this site as to how many you can d/l. Beats me man.

Thanks Everyone,

I got it to work; I had to revert back to the old Windows Media Player but I can get it to work fine now.

Thanks Again and Love You,

Hi All,

I just wanted to add that Real Player works most exellently just in case someone else has the same problem... Real Player makes the downloaded MP3 files that You have downloaded very easy to access and everything works perfect with this site.

Thanks Everyone, and Love You,

I must say that I violently dislike RealPlayer; it is on the verge of being spyware, and at the very least takes over your computer. I live with Windows Media Player because it has a decent interface and functions, but even WMP is too slow.

I'm sure there is something else out there, but I'm too lazy to switch now, when WMP does the job decently.
... and that's all I have to say about that.

Hi iamthe_eggman,

I too highly disliked Realplayer at first but I think that they have been listening to the people and their beta version v10 is great... It's only 9.59 MB and it has totally amazed me (they fixed everthing that I didn't like about their last version)... Just don't let it take over Your computer when You install it (I only let it have MP3 and two icons) and it's great... And be sure to get the Coolgreen skin (this thing is nice) and You will have a awesome setup (even has a cd eject button)... As far as I'm concerned I am totally satisfide and I am not missing Window Media Player at all... Viva~La RealPlayer!:)

Love You,

Hahaha, loving the use of adjectives here. Yea, realplayer sucks ass. If for some reason you do need to install it, only select the .rm files to be associated with it. Otherwise, you will grow to hate this program at an exponential rate.
Blues is easy to play, but hard to feel.

Oh man, do I hate RealPlayer...on a Mac it's horrible.
It takes forever to open up and forever to start playing. When it does it sounds like crap... then when you want to quit, it sits there for 30 seconds before it finally decides to give you back control of your computer.
I've had to re-install it so many times I've lost count... and every time I install it, it automatically resets all my browsers to use it, so I have to manually go back and erase them. Plus the player window is huge and takes up too much space and looks gaudy... if you want to replay anything from a specific point it has to re-buffer the entire tune again... argh!!!

Give me Quicktime. Click on an audio file and it starts playing immediately. Even if the file is 14MB you can start listening to it in seconds while it loads.
The window is tiny and easily resized... and when you quit, it actually quits straight away instead of making it look like your computer crashed.
