At the minute I have a DiMarzio Evolution in the bridge position on my guitar and soon im going to add the same pickup to the neck.
I don't just want to play strictly metal on the guitar though, for instance im learning quite a few SRV songs at the minute.
What pickup would anyone recommend I replace my single coil with?
I know the pickups should all be around the same output level, but anything in the with as high end in wouldn't do much good for SRV type stuff. If I replace the pickup with something like the DiMarzio Evolution (I know you can't get the actual single coils unless you buy a Jem) then I might as well just stick with the humbuckers.
So basically what im trying to say is, would putting a strat type single coil in my Jackson screw the sound up?
