god dammit.. i feel like i could kill someone...

for 3 years i have been planning on beeing the first guitarrist to record the 4 seasons on electric guitar - this was one of the reasons why i got the dragon.. AND NOW????

Uli John Roth released the 4 Seasons "Metamorphosis" 3 months ago. just read it in a guitar mag saying "he is the first musician ever to perform the 4 seasons on electric guitar"

i feel like sh!t now. if iĀ“m goin to record them now, everyone will be like "hey - he stole that from ulli john roth!"

*cries*

By virtue of their electrical properties, tubes generate a special waveform when they're saturated, which is why tube engineering has tremendous tonal advantages over solid state or DSP solutions, particularly for crunch and lead sounds. Tubes enter the saturation zone gradually or softly, which lends tube-driven tone its trademark yet totally unique character.

Hahaha..

Oh well Azrael. Now you'll just have to come up with something else. How about the entire Fraggle Rock/Muppets theme? Or the ultimate Nintendo collection theme? Heheh..

Or seriously, how about The Planets?

Azrael,I feel your pain Bro, I remember years ago I wrote a song
and I swear to god about a month or two later a song on the radio comes on with just
about the same freakin lyrics in it, music was different but **** it floored me. with your musical talents Im sure you will come up with another ingenious scheme to do
something along the same guidelines as what you had come up
with.Bite the bullet and keep on rockin. Mark

you know what the ironic thing about it is? like 5 months ago i actually thought about contacting uli and doing this project WITH him since he also has a guitar with 36 frets, thus beeing able to play all that violin stuff. bummer!

So I guess that means I don't have to make such an insane offer for your guitar now huh? :)

I don't know if your up for a whole orchestra, but how about Rites of Spring (the ballet)? Tchikosvky did some great work on that one. It caused the audience to riot when released. It feels like the 20th century version of heavy metal.

the 5th caprice has been done so many times

I had the idea, back when my band had 2 lead guitarists to do the Phantom of the Opera overture

G--------------------
D-8--8-7-6-5-4---------
A-6--6-5-4-3-2-----------
E------------------

think about that one, it would be really badass sounding with a few guitar tracks on it

How about "Mmmbop" by Hanson transcribed for 3 guitars? One classical, one steel string acoustic and the Dragon for all the complicated parts?
... and that's all I have to say about that.

i was thinkin of the whole 24 caprices.. but there are some absolutely implayable things in them - damn violinists.
orchestral works are nice, but i need a concept with a steady lead part in it. most orchestral things have alot of quiet lowpitch passages in them which would sound crappy on electric... i guess i will have to think harder.

well maybe that guy wandered in here and found ur 4 seasons hehe

anyway a piece like mussorgsky's night on bare mountain would be cool - but the intro to that song has been done by 'marduk'.

what about 'montagues and capulets' by prokofiev, although it might be a bit too low sounding,

i was trying to do one from 'amadeus' its track 3 first disk its anonymous artist so i dunno who done it, but i can never get past the first couple of notes i cant figure the rest out.

something like that could get real great on guitar.

anyway.... i had once read somewhere and i dont remember and i cant quote cus it wont be exact. but it was something like if ur ideas are good theyre bound to get stolen - or something like that.

so although i can only imagine how pissed off you are, i can only say well maybe this one wasnt meant for you, and ur gonna find something even better.

i can also be totoally negative, but keep trying, its still worth it. you know u can do it you just cant release it.
