Same old song, just a drop of water in an endless sea

I've almost cried listening to a rendition of stairway, but that was because-

-the rendition was better than the actual song with the way it worked in the vocal part and a piano
-I had suffered a severe electric shock that morning hard enough it completely blacked out my vision, when I regained awareness of my mind I was deaf and in bullet time for a few seconds, and my head seriously felt like the time I fell like 6 feet backwards and landed on my head on concrete, so I was in a wierd mood
-someone I loved had just tried to kill herself and was being committed to a psych ward that day. Stairway to heaven, eh?
-my total hours of sleep for that night and the few days before it put together was about 4.
-I have religious issues
-other stuff I'm not going into in order to try to preserve my dignity.

You could try piecing together 'Drive' by Incubis. It might be hard to do for your experience, but it's definitely going to be well worth the effort. Even if you can't pull it together in time you'll learn a lot working on it.

What style of music do you play? I can think of some really easy rock and punk songs, but if you don't play either it's not going to help much.

You can be like everybody else and play "Smoke on the Water." That song really makes me sick, just cuz sooooo many people play it when they get a guitar, and then they think they are awesome. Its really easy though, and sounds good.

if you are going to a school talent show dont play something that an old man would play, no offense but if you dont want to get laughed at, nothing against that music but some people are creul. but you play whatever you want. I would play somethin like simple and kinda modern for you expierience. i dont think you will be able to play the whole "nothing else matters" by metallica by urself....but try whatever you feel and practice it so you can win
