For a good few hours today I have been searching like a maniac for a guitar sound clip of a 'wail'. I'm not sure if this is the proper term, but on an electric guitar when someone does a little over the top wail on one. Kind of cheesey, I guess.

Either way this is what I have been looking for, and it seems to be impossible. I've been through so many different sites now (stock sound clip sites) and nothing :(.

Do any of you guys know any where, or have anything that could help? Thanks for reading.

I'm not really sure what your on about but try http://www.harmony-central.com. If you go on the forums there and search what you want you should find pleanty of sound clips.
By virtue of their electrical properties, tubes generate a special waveform when they're saturated, which is why tube engineering has tremendous tonal advantages over solid state or DSP solutions, particularly for crunch and lead sounds. Tubes enter the saturation zone gradually or softly, which lends tube-driven tone its trademark yet totally unique character.

I assume you mean like a "squeal"

Like the end of the solo in Ozzy's No More Tears or in the solo to "Serial Killer" by Slash's Snakepit.
