You all seem to all think the powerball is a lot better. I know its great for heavy riffs but i havnt heard any clips of someone playing solo's on it.
I'm wondering what it sounds like for solo's. Is it good at doing neoclassical type solo's or dream theater solo's and all the other melodic solo's ?

By virtue of their electrical properties, tubes generate a special waveform when they're saturated, which is why tube engineering has tremendous tonal advantages over solid state or DSP solutions, particularly for crunch and lead sounds. Tubes enter the saturation zone gradually or softly, which lends tube-driven tone its trademark yet totally unique character.
