Line6 PODxt?
I've been looking at this little kidney bean looking thing and I'm not sure if it would be a good investment or not. Does anyone have any thoughts on digital mods over the real thing? Obviously, the real thing is better, but is there much of a difference?

From what i have heard this kidney bean is very good. I havnt tried using one myself though.
By virtue of their electrical properties, tubes generate a special waveform when they're saturated, which is why tube engineering has tremendous tonal advantages over solid state or DSP solutions, particularly for crunch and lead sounds. Tubes enter the saturation zone gradually or softly, which lends tube-driven tone its trademark yet totally unique character.

I have the PODxt and FBV shortboard and have been fairly impressed by it. Amazing for recording, and also workes very well in live situations. However, it is more than what I really need right now and am selling it if you're interested. take a look at it here:

Both are in perfect condition. Both are a little dusty in the pic because they've just been sitting in my room not getting used. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask away.
