Recentyl i have been playing my guitar extortion pedal from the input jack to the pedal then to my guitar but i would rather have the pedal coming from the effects loop but when i put it in the effects loop it sounds more faded and dull then the other way so im thinking that it is really something messed up but anyone know what it could be?

yes i think i do! i think it has somethin to do with the apparent fact that all effects loops seem to be complete and utter useless pieces of crap! (just my opinion there)yup every effects loop i've ever tried (probly about 5 different amps ranging from solid states to semi tube an then full tube amps) has made what ever i've stuck in sound like crap whether this be my original zoom 505II (piece of crap i know) then upgrade to my digitech rp 2000 or whatever an even single effects like a morley wah or proper chorus pedals etc etc have all been made to sound bloody awful! they are crap ignore them! unless of course any one can tell me some magic thing that i've missed, making me look really stupid. but i wont mind so go ahead! wow how usefull was i?

Ill second that! Effects loops on marshalls are useless because when the loop is turned up to 10 it still isnt full volume. So things like noise gates dont work in an effects loop!

I don't usually like effect pedals or stomp boxes. I have seen effect loops used very well by some very incredible guitarists, but their being incredible guitarists probably makes up for a lot.

Extortion pedal..is that a type or a product I'm unfamiliar with? Or a general description of digital fx? (bad joke, I know)

well crap....... if im playing live, how do i use my pedals, should i take the chord going from the all of the pedals up front and like tape it to the ground until it goes way behind me so i can have my chord slack from my guitar behind me??
