where do songs come from?
Sometimes I'll get a whole symphony in my head, the whole orchestra and all, and just have to write it down in its entirety ... without even touching the piano. This is good because I've recently gone deaf and wouldn't be able to hear what I was playing anyway, except for through the vibrations in my fingers. I hope they're turning out alright because I'm presenting my lastest to His Majesty this afternoon.

Yeah me too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The whole symphony note for note. And in the weeks it takes to write it all out, I never forget a single thing. It's amazing and I can do this because I'm Beethoven reincarnated!!!

funny enough, this "whole symphony in the head" thing happens to me too - but it always happens when i´m somewhere where i cant write it down. usually when i´m on a foreign toilet... (no joke)

Thats exactly what its like with me too. I always get a really cool riff in my head and think how cool it would be to play. i'm usually in a lesson at college when it happens though.
