Thats exactly what its like with me too. I always get a really cool riff in my head and think how cool it would be to play. i'm usually in a lesson at college when it happens though.
Azrael ... maybe you should take your guitar with you when you go to a foreighn toilet !
By virtue of their electrical properties, tubes generate a special waveform when they're saturated, which is why tube engineering has tremendous tonal advantages over solid state or DSP solutions, particularly for crunch and lead sounds. Tubes enter the saturation zone gradually or softly, which lends tube-driven tone its trademark yet totally unique character.
