When I write songs, I don't really know how it happens. I'm never by my guitar, it just pops into my head. If I am writing lyrics, I usually have wrote the whole song out in my head, and then sing random stuff that pops into my head, and go off of that.

The same thing happens when I write music for bands (like orchestra band, not rock band). I come up with one theme in my head. and before you know it I have harmonies and dramatic movements and such.
