Hi all, just found this site and thought I would introduce myself. I am 40 yr old male, I have a Yamaha FG340II, Fender Stratacoustic, and an Epiphone Les Paul Standard. I play mostly old rock, some blues and a little country. I look forward to learning some tricks from you guys and making a few E-friends.

hi sme331. You should find this site fun. Its one of the only sites i visit everyday. Feel free to ask any questions on the forum ;)

By virtue of their electrical properties, tubes generate a special waveform when they're saturated, which is why tube engineering has tremendous tonal advantages over solid state or DSP solutions, particularly for crunch and lead sounds. Tubes enter the saturation zone gradually or softly, which lends tube-driven tone its trademark yet totally unique character.

I used to have a squire made by fender which my dad gave to this romanian guy who was suppose to pay for it and never did. At the moment i have a maverick which is a very nice guitar for the money. I'm hoping to upgrade the pickups on it sometime :).
What about you sme331 ?

Those cats are way overpriced and have since taken over my house. They think they own the place. All I have to do to make them run is crank up the amp and Hit some high notes and they become scarce. HEHEHEHE....the Les Paul is my latest acquisition, the Yamaha acoustic is around 20 years old. I bought the Fender when they came out in 2003. It is a nice little ax to take with you and my pignose Hog20 is great for anywhere play.

Well, I thought it was kinda creative when I made it. Of course, it makes everyone think I'm some huge Malmsteen fanatic, which I'm not. I just thought the similarity between the names was kinda neat.

This site is really great, i've already learned some new tricks, and ideas.

So. If you throw a cat out of a car window, is it considered "kitty litter"?

Well, I suffer...... From all the post I have read of yours you seem like one of the most educated and real people I have found here. I look forward to learning things from you. Right now I am trying to take my playing to the next level. My instructor used to play with Frankie Bannalii in a band called Coventry, He also auditioned for Ace Frehley's spot with KISS when they replaced him. He is teaching me alot of blues style guitar and riffs and licks that are very helpful and fun to boot. Any tips, tricks and info you guys and GIRLs have...send them my way.
