You need a Marshall Amp and a Les Paul.

:)

I dunno about cheaper ways to get his tone. Ask Axl_Rose, he's obsessed with him. :P
Sometimes I hit notes only dogs can hear.

You can never get his exact tone with your equipment , but you can still get a little closer.
Select a nice distortion from your zoom , boost the mids , and use the neck pickup for the whole song and the bridge pickup for the wah solo.

Yea but it costs a lot of money to sound like slash :( Cheapest way = Marshall AVT combo > Epiphone > seymour duncan pickups = £900 in the UK.

The actual way = Gibson les Paul Standard > Marshall Stack > Jim Dunlop Rack Wah = about £3,000 in the UK.

You no what really bugs me about the song.. when people fail to notice slash is using his wah throughout the whole song!!

I know he used it as a filter to alter the tone a bit here and there throughout the lead parts , but the pentatonic solo after the harmonic minor run is most likely to be refered as the wah solo of that song.

Do you know that Kirk Hammet used a wah pedal in "Fade To Black" ?
