coil tapping a ibanez rx 20

i have an ibanez rx20 and i added a single coil so its hsh now, and i want to know how to coil tap it i took apart the humbucker and theres 4 wires 2 black and 2 white and i need to know how to do this thanks

Welcome to Guitar Tricks, Laurathecoconut!

Look for the wiring instructions at the DiMarzio website.

They use different colour coding for the wires, but you should able to figure it out.

BTW: I strongly recommend using series/parallel switching for the humbuckers instead of a simple coil tap. Coil tapping simply shorts out one of the humbucker coils, and then you lose the noise reduction a humbucker (hum bucking) is designed to provide.

Ya man, don't bother with coil tapping. I have series/parallel on my Tele and it rocks. You get no-noise-single-coil sound.
