How do you change an amp so it is modded to sound different and how much does it cost and what do you have to do ? Has anyone else done this ?
Also i was wondering about EQ. People have been saying about using a better EQ to get a better sound .. How does this work and what is it ?
By virtue of their electrical properties, tubes generate a special waveform when they're saturated, which is why tube engineering has tremendous tonal advantages over solid state or DSP solutions, particularly for crunch and lead sounds. Tubes enter the saturation zone gradually or softly, which lends tube-driven tone its trademark yet totally unique character.

Modifying your amp by yourself without having a schematic of something that have been done to an exactly similar amp before is pretty comlpicated and can lead to undesired results ... Don't even think about it unless you know what are you doing.

EQ's are a very productive tool , you won't believe how can they dramatically alter your tone unless you try one .
Some people even use more than one EQ pedal (before the distortion , after it ,etc.) ... If you're thinking of buying one , I believe the Boss pedal is a good choice.
