i have played the mick signiture guitar and it was quite nice. The guy in my local music shop thought they were a very good guitar for intermediates or begginers.
By virtue of their electrical properties, tubes generate a special waveform when they're saturated, which is why tube engineering has tremendous tonal advantages over solid state or DSP solutions, particularly for crunch and lead sounds. Tubes enter the saturation zone gradually or softly, which lends tube-driven tone its trademark yet totally unique character.

That's my next purchase :D I'm gonna get a JEM like Vai's. Do they come stock with Dimarzio Evolution pickups?
Blues is easy to play, but hard to feel.

My guitar teacher has a JEM like Vai's and he has the same pickups as vai is using too. I played once and its got good treble i remember and is a really really light guitar.

I think all of the newer ones come with Evolutions, I may be wrong.

Ibanez are pretty good guitars, IMO. I have a RG570 and I love it. I wouldn't trade it for anything except maybe a JEM.

The slim neck fits me well, and I like how fast the neck is too. I've played many axes from PRS to Les Paul Standards/Studios, and none have felt as good in my hands as an Ibanez.

It's personal preference really.
Sometimes I hit notes only dogs can hear.

Listen, Moore, you don't want a B.C. Rich. Trust me. They're just not worth it, at all. I hope I can steer you towards an Ibanez or Jackson. Unlike B.C. Rich guitars, these are not a complete waste of money. Buying a B.C. Rich is buying a guitar merely for the look. Those guitars sound AWFUL!!! Even putting in new pickups can't completely salvage the nuclear waste that is B.C. Rich. Please, I beg you, go with the Ibanez or the Jackson, for your own sake.
I want the bomb
I want the P-funk!

My band is better than yours...

I loved the way Vai sounded on the movie Crossroads. I heard he really played both parts of the duel at the end. Man cuttin' heads was awesome.I wonder if he played an Ibanez on it I can't remember if he did or not?
