Hello all!! I'm new to the site;just found ittoday. I'm dang near 40 yrs old, and recently started taking lessons again. I'm hoping to learn more theory now, scales, and how it all fits together. I was raised on Zep, Kiss, Who, etc, and also the big hair 80's stuff. They say it's never too late to learn , so here goes....

Hello, and its true. Its never too late to learn guitar. I'm sure you will love this site. It has loads of things to listen to. Thats what i really like about this site.. you get to listen to what your trying to learn a lot of the time because people often post up the music to the tabs. Also you can almost always find out what you want to know by posting a question on the forum. People will always be happy to help solve your problems :)
By virtue of their electrical properties, tubes generate a special waveform when they're saturated, which is why tube engineering has tremendous tonal advantages over solid state or DSP solutions, particularly for crunch and lead sounds. Tubes enter the saturation zone gradually or softly, which lends tube-driven tone its trademark yet totally unique character.
