You really only aprreciate macalpine and weiner if you have a good sound system.
Macalpine comes through the left channel, Vai in the center channel, and weiner in the right.
It sounds really good here, but at a friends (with only the stereo speakers on his tv), it sounds pretty bad.
This video, and seeing them live, really puts things into perspective doesn't it? You see Vai dancing around and acting like he's doing the most amazing thing in the world, then Tony doing the same thing without even flinching. Not that I'm bashing Vai, its just interesting to see how different players act on stage.
One thing to check out for sure is the audio commentary, in particular for the song "Deep Down In The Pain". When Tony starts his solo Sheehan is just like "holy god thats amazing" :P
I really like Weiner's rhythm playing too, he doesn't play the songs EXACTLY like Vai does on the albums, and it sounds pretty cool.
