That's what I've been trying to tell you Axl_rose. Guns n' roses are very big fans of Queen and held Brian May with high regard and respect. Just watch the tribute and AIDS concert they did for Freddie Mercury for free- especially the interviews.
As with his sound- not everyone like's out of phase sounds but to each his own. I still think that his tone is the best because it is different and proper to the style of their music- its one of the most distinguished sounds in rock history ever- and it's pretty inovative too. Most musicians rely on production model guitars but this guy actually created his own sound by using a home made guitar and amp created by his friend and Queen bassist, John Deacon. It's also through the vast tonal capabilities of his guitar that he was able to make his guitar sound in many different ways, especially when he harmonizes his guitar to imitate an orchestra or a brass section of a jazz band. I think many people underestimate this guy.
To anyone offended with the use of the word "god"
Also, when we were referring to Brian May as god, it was more like a god with a small "g" not "G"- i don't know if others refer to him this way- atleast I know I do so I hope I don't offend anyone. To those uninformed, this expression was commonly used in the old days by the greeks and romans when showing their admiration to someone who is of great skill such as a hero, an athlete, or an emperor- it's supposed to be the highest form of flattery. I just idolize Brian May so much that I'm just applying a similar gesture- just as everyone who admired eric clapton used to raise banners that say: Eric clapton is god.
"Lets see… well I play the guitar and when I'm not playing the guitar, I think about playing the guitar. My other favorite instrument, is the guitar and if I aspired to play any other instrument, it would be the guitar...
I can’t sing so I sing through my guitar. So when the sound guy says: “Your guitar is too loud!” I think: "Why does he never say that to the vocalist?"
