Yeah, actually, I was crazy enough to do this to my friend's cheap Washburn that he kept forgetting at my house (I still have it, 4 years later...)

It sounds OK, feels really slinky. It might sound neat to use it with a mike for lead over another acoustic. The tone is pretty thin, though, and there's not too much volume.

It was fun to try, but then I also learned why certain things are a certain way.


BTW, I also learned on that same acoustic that removing frets is a job best left to the pros. :(
