i dont know wat the chord brad delson( linkin park) uses yet. does anybody here know the tunings n' chords he uses? i think some of them likes this

He just used regular power chords for the most part.

(577655 or 577555) or just (577xxx).

Go to a local music store, go to where they have sheet music and look for a linkin park tab book. It will tell you exactly how to play the (chord) song.

a great feature is that you can punch in certain voicings for a chord and itll tell you what the name of the chord would be

there are sites on the internet with lots of power tab songs, and lots of linkin park songs...so im sure thatll help

by the way i dont mean to flame, ntm... and im not sure but i guess linkin park prolly use a drop d tuning (e string lowered 2 semitones) of some sort ... so the power chords would prolly have fingerings like 777777 or 777xxx ... or maybe even the one punkspirit wrote out

Yeah I guess I should of included that. The video I've seen of them playing he was fingering the chords as though they where is regular tuning. Although I'm sure he uses drop D on a few songs. Either way, he plays power-chords from what I hear. If your just picking up the guitar it's good to learn from a song book rather than off the internet. Tabs on the net are sometimes wrong, and you don't want to learn a song wrong thinking it's right. Once you've been playing awhile then start figuring songs out on your own, use the tabs then to check yourself or compare.

Linkin Park actually uses a "Drop C#" on most of their songs . . . meaning you tune the whole guitar down a halfstep, and then drop the 6th string a whole step.

yeah i kinda figured they tuned their guitars even further down :) thats why i wrote "drop d tuning of some sort" ... i mean ... its still basically the same ... you gotta tune the e string down 2 half-steps ... :) i love those tunings for metally tunes...i used to tune my 5-string guitar down to c ... but even tuned the higher strings differently ... so my tuning was

c g c g c

the only drawback (apart from the problems with sound engineers that think you are using standard tuning) was that i had to buy a bass-d-string for the lower c so that it wouldnt be to flabby... and that kinda got expensive :)

wat does power tabs stand for?

It's a software program that you can edit tab, or use tab to write music, and even download it's application files off the internet to get the actual sheet music w/tab. Awesome program, you should get it.
