I've seen this done by guitarists where they toss the guitar over there shoulders. It looks really cool and I've tried doing it, but I haven't quite been able to do it. If anyone knows any tips on how to do it, please post. Thanks :)

Just make sure the head of your guitar doesn't go up your a**, because then you'll really have your head up your a**.

I've been playing for about 10 years. I'm not worried about looking cool, I just thought it would be neat to be able to do.

 • Replace your jack cord with a wireless transmitter clipped to your guitar strap.

 • Make sure that your strap is smooth and slides over your clothing easily.

 • You must have some kind of strap locks installed so that your strap stays attached to your guitar!

 • Be very sure that the ceiling is high enough so you don't smash your guitar.

 • Do not bend forward while doing this, or you will drive the headstock of your guitar into the floor.

 • Push the guitar firmly down and away, so that it keeps the strap taught as it goes around.

 • When you catch it, try to look like that's exactly what you expected to happen.

 • Use a POS axe for this, because it is not worth risking a good guitar for.

and once you've done everything that lordathestrings have said, don't forget to practice. practice, practice, practice- so when you do it on stage, you look cool.

...and remember not to practice in areas that are tight or areas that are too crowded. i threw my guitar ones- i didn't know my friend was at the back. i nearly blew his head off. it's a good thing my guitar wasn't scratched.

"Lets see… well I play the guitar and when I'm not playing the guitar, I think about playing the guitar. My other favorite instrument, is the guitar and if I aspired to play any other instrument, it would be the guitar...

I can’t sing so I sing through my guitar. So when the sound guy says: “Your guitar is too loud!” I think: "Why does he never say that to the vocalist?"

That I would like to see.

Heh I saw a punk rock band that really sucked a week ago. The bass player got into it I guess and sort of fell backward. I guess he was trying to look cool, but really he just looked like an ugly fat kid playing bass laying down. Lazy bastard.

Yeah, who cares about the fact that you nearly took off his head as long as the guitar was ok. lol.
