Hi, as you all know by now I'ma new guy who has been playing guitar for 2 years now.

I feel like I'm way behind though. Well, not compared to my peers but to people who are older than me.

I also don't know **** about guitar! I just know how to play it. Is there any websites where they can teach you guitar parts and guitar sounds? I'm quite illiterate when it comes to this.

Also, why can't I hear the sounds on this website? I'm even logged in.

Thanks a lot!

What's up man? Welcome to the site. In addition to this site, here are some others that helped me get started:

Cyberfret:
http://www.cyberfret.com/first-fret/index.php

Stone Dragon:
http://www.zentao.com/guitar/

World Guitar:
http://www.worldguitar.com/start.html

Be sure to check out the chat on here as well, there's a link to it on the topleft of your screen. Good Luck!

Blues is easy to play, but hard to feel.

Don't get discouraged I didn't know **** two years into my guitar playing years about the guitar. I wish I could of gone back, and learned more. Oh well the past is gone.

If you're interested in learning music theory a good website is... http://www.torvund.net/guitar/Theory/index.asp

I'm learning from there, and if I can learn music theory from this website anyone can. Its hard to grasp music theory for some, such as myself, you just have to be persistent and apply yourself. I recommend learning music theory, because in the musicians world you are looked down upon if you don't know any of it.

Good luck, and stick with this forum. You'll learn a lot about guitar and life in general. Okay maybe life in general is going a little over board, but guitar is more important than life anyways.
