My Ampeg VT-22 puts out about 120 Watts before it distorts. Which means I can't use it most places. :p

Unless it's a PA, what would you want a 600 Watt amp for???

I have driven 5-10 KW PAs before now but Id not like to have em on stage with me, it would make monitoring a nightmare !
My instructors page and www.studiotrax.net for all things recording.

I wish I could welcome you to this site with a more positive reception, but I must point out that getting something you don't need, even for a low price, is still a waste of money. Check eBay. There are Traynor YB-series amps going for about the same amount, that are fantastic for guitar! The Plexi Palace is frequented by people who understand what makes the difference between a loud amp and one that is worth acquiring and treasuring! They have some interesting things to say about Traynor amps. And I don't think you'll see any talk of 600 Watt Peaveys.

600 watts is overkill for guitar and dosnt mean it will sound good.Your audience isnt going to hear much of your amp. They are going to hear the P.A.The volume between 120/300 watts and 600 watts is negligible as well.

And is it coming out of 2x12's!?
It dosn't matter if you have even 10,000 watts pushing through 2x12's,your still not going to push anymore air than 4/8x12's.
Try once,fail twice...
