here's some very basic/ simple things that might help.

1. make sure you have a super low set up. if your set up's too high, you wouldn't be able to tap. for beginners, it's usually good to start with a low set up.

2. you'll need to put some gain- a lot of gain

3. try to excercise your fingers- you can do this by practicing. the stronger your fingers get, the clearer the sounds you create.

I can’t sing so I sing through my guitar. So when the sound guy says: “Your guitar is too loud!” I think: "Why does he never say that to the vocalist?"
