I do not about the 1,000 post bull **** because I joined the forum to get away from spam and to learn about guitars, banjos and other instruments from the crumbs that fall from the beards of the greats.

Hey dude, hope you have fun and find this site helpful ;)
By virtue of their electrical properties, tubes generate a special waveform when they're saturated, which is why tube engineering has tremendous tonal advantages over solid state or DSP solutions, particularly for crunch and lead sounds. Tubes enter the saturation zone gradually or softly, which lends tube-driven tone its trademark yet totally unique character.

Welcome to the site. I don't know how much information you'll find on here on banjos and whatnot, but there's lots on guitar playing here.
Blues is easy to play, but hard to feel.
