Does anybody know anything about the Marshall Avt150h half or full stack? I have the chance to buy one for super cheap, I just want to have some opinions on how good it is as an amp. Thanks.

Its brilliant, the AVT range is arguably better than the JCM full valve range, esp considering the onboard effects. I used to have the AVT100 but used it via 4 by 12 cab and it sounded better than my JCM800 head through the cab. I now have a JCM2000 and only because of the use of a Yamamha SPX can I get a better sound than I used to with the AVT.
Basically AVTs can do no wrong in my mind :)

I miss that amp, the reverb on it is spot on! Ive tried so many pedals n racks trying to get reverb as good as I used to get on that amp but Ive never found it!

If I wasnt an amp snob Id probably use an AVT instead of the JCM

Yeah, I tried the head out the other day, and it sounds pretty sweet. I think I'm gonna pick it up in a few days. I'm not sure about cabinets though, should I get the avt412 or spend a bit more on the 1960 cabs? I mean, is there really that much of a difference between them?

Ive never heard the AVT cabs but Id still recommend the 1960s so if u everntually get a JCM valve amp then youve got the ideal cab already
