I use the Tortex or Fender light blues 1mm picks. I tried moving up in thickness to 1.14, but I just didn't like it. This is my niche. I also occasionally use Big Stubbys, and when I'm desperate, I'll use a quarter or a penny ;)

There is one odd thing I do to my picks... When I buy a pack I take them all out and stab them over and over at a slight angle while rotating the pick. This creates a bunch of little notches that make the pick totally non-slip. I have had a person walk in while I was doing that... needless to say, there was some explaining to do.

I have some cheap old strap, but hey, it works, and like Lordathestrings, I also route my cord between the strap and the body.
