I believe that was Edgar Winter, Johnny's brother. I'm pretty sure Edgar plays guitar too, but is not quite the expert that Johnny is. Edgar had some hits back in the 70's with his Edgar Winter Group, most notably "Frankenstein" and "Free Ride" (memorably featured in Richard Linkater's Dazed and Confused).
