I'm writing a solo for a song I'm writing and really want to keep a heavey jazz feel to keep versatility within our songs.
I find myself having a hard time finding jazzy runs.
Heres a little lick thats in it.its a fast run

E------------------------------------------------------------------------------------B-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
G------------------------------------------12-13-14-13-12-14-13-b12--
D------------------------------10-11-12----------------------------------------
A--10-11-12-10-11-12------------------------------------------------------- E------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now is that jazzy or blusey?
Thats how most of the runs are comprised.
From the great majority of jazz Ive heard, its more staccato(disconnected)and made up of almost sour or chromatic notes.Thats my observation anyway.

If you know of any jazz scales to direct me to or advice,it would be very much appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

Later! \m/

By itself I'd say thats a blues lick. But stick a chord under it and it can be jazz.
