What is your favorite amp/ guitar setup? Mine is probably fender Srat through Marshall for blues. Heavy rock probably PRS through Mesa boogie.

Rock: les paul through jcm 900 marshall
blues: fender strat through a fender
metal: ibanez 7 string through a mesa boogie rect.
country: tele or strat through a fender

LOL, I did the same thread a while ago.

59' Les Paul with 100Watt Marshall
Anything Fender with a Fender
Fender or Les Paul with Vox

I have tried all of these combinations myself, along with others, and they are my personal favorites.

Cort through mesa/boogie. I'm not sure which model because they just came out with a couple models and one of them (katana) could be good.

recently bought a Peavey XXL. the best tone i get from it is with my Ibanez RG7620 plugged in... metal/ fusion/ rock- no problems...

A dean or jackson through a randall or a peavy 5150 !
By virtue of their electrical properties, tubes generate a special waveform when they're saturated, which is why tube engineering has tremendous tonal advantages over solid state or DSP solutions, particularly for crunch and lead sounds. Tubes enter the saturation zone gradually or softly, which lends tube-driven tone its trademark yet totally unique character.

Jazz/Blues: 1984 Yamaha SBG1000 with DiMarzio Dual Sound bridge and DiMarzio SCHB neck pickups, played through 1976 Ampeg VT-22 120 Watt 2x12 combo.

Wailin' Rock: 1984 Yamaha SBG1000 with DiMarzio Tone Zone bridge and DiMarzio PAF Pro neck pickups, played through a 1977 Ampeg VT-40 60 Watt combo rebuilt as a 1x15.

Rock:Stock stratocaster thru any all tube Marshall head w/ greenback loaded cab(4x12)
Blues:Strat w/ hot bridge into Fender Deluxe
Metal:BC Rich Mockingbird into All tube Marshall and greenbacks
Certiied Stratocaster NUT!!
