I finally decided on the guitar i wanted. I got a Gibson Les Paul special and im lovin it..just figured id tell some people (not that many of you care..lol) heres a exact pic of my new guitar http://www.gibson.com/products/gibson/lespaul/lpsh.html
Yeah, looks nice. My biggest peeve with Gibson guitars are the neck thickness and the accessibility of the 22nd fret. When you play really high up on some of those guitars, it's quite hard to bend strings after you reach approx ~20th fret. When I solo in E, I like to bend the high E string on the 22nd fret a whole step (i.e. 24th fret). Anyway, it's not a huge concern.
Wow, you own basically the same guitar as I do, except mine is black and a studio, not a special. Good choice by the way. Beautiful guitar, lookswise and soundwise. I love the Gibson sound. It's almost worth the Gibson price (but not quite).

thanx for your comments..It was about 600 to 700 somthing..Originally it was 1,150 but at the guitar center they were having a one day special christmas sale so they were cutting the prices on everything
