You might try Fernandez (about the limit of your budget) or the new Cort model (which runs ~5-7 hundred US). It's called the Katana and you can find it on ebay. The katana there is to the best of my knowledge the first one of it sold, or at the very least the first online. It's comparable to something by schecter and I've heard its pickups compared to S.D. invaders.

Schecter makes some very nice equipment, I have a personal love for their sound. Or Ibanez, but that company requires a bit of personal taste to buy into. Marilyn Manson's guitarist (John Lowery) endorses their AX120, which is just a few hundred $$. He owns 4 of them.

You might look into Ran guitars, they're a custom shop in Poland. You can get a decent guitar from them for about your budget.

And there's always ESP, but they can be a bit expensive. You might be able to get something better for your money elsewhere, but that's not to say they might not have what you're looking for.

I'm thinking no floyd rose. I don't like what whammy bars do to guitars.

Main thing is look around at everything you can because there's a sh!tload of options out there.

ibanez is always a good choice for metal guitarrists. you´ll get a decent one for that price - even 7-string if you like - my RG7420 7-string ibz cost me 760 EUro

Some mavericks are nice. The one i got cost about £350 which i'm guessing would be about 700 euros. I think they usually come with floyd rose and locking nut and sound good for metal playing and mine seems to work really well for clean stuff too.
By virtue of their electrical properties, tubes generate a special waveform when they're saturated, which is why tube engineering has tremendous tonal advantages over solid state or DSP solutions, particularly for crunch and lead sounds. Tubes enter the saturation zone gradually or softly, which lends tube-driven tone its trademark yet totally unique character.

RAN guitars seem great.. with incredible prices for their features..
I don't like to order things I don't know..
Have you ever heard any of these guitars?
Do they have a good and solid construction?
Do they really worth it?
Do you know anyone who have one?
And after I finish all of them, I will be the..... hummm... sorry, I didn't know you were there..

An ibanez RG 7 string would be an excellent choice as Azrael suggested.

I actually got my 7620 for $100. A nice model too, with Dimarzios (evolution 7s) in it.

I only played once in a 7 string guitar..
The idea i have is that the neck is too large =less speed..
And after I finish all of them, I will be the..... hummm... sorry, I didn't know you were there..

nope - i switched from 6 to 7 a year ago - infact ther was NO difference. it took maybe 2 days to get used to the aditional string. thats about it - i can play as fast as ever. why should the thicker neck be a problem?¿

I'm really interested in Ran guitars... They are great considering the price and the oportunity of building my own guitar.
But ... the question is:

Are they good?
And after I finish all of them, I will be the..... hummm... sorry, I didn't know you were there..

Really? Hmm...I'm actually in love with the Floyd Rose system. Although I don't have a guitar that has one my rhythm guitarist does. I think that the floyd rose is just plain glorious. Do you mean to say that a whammy bars cheapen guitar playing or something? Cuz I can see where your coming from. I'm not a huge fan of bringing in a bunch of effects either, but I think just for a few cool tricks every once in a while a whammy can be a great addition.
