hello everyone

this is a great forum
and I hope that you all will read my humble contribution to this site abouth songwriting

I think that some good theorie books
(berklee press publications and others) will help
if stuck when writing a song
One of the main things I do is compose a song
on another instrument that I am NOT familiar with.
As a bad/louzy/nuttcase who is now been trying for
thirty years to play a suitable guitarpiece I usely
compose on a keyboard instead of the guitar.
for one of the other reasons which I don't know
and as a good rebel who lacks every harmonic
at his feet I simply :

1."BREAK ALL THE RULES OF PRINCIPLE SONGWRITING"
2."PLAY ALL WHAT SOUNDS GOOD IN EARS AND MIND AND STRAIGHT FROM THE INSIDE OF YOURSELF"
3."USE SIMPLE PHRASES WITH NO MORE THAN FIVE
USUAL BASIC CHORDS"
4."JUST MIX ALL VERSES/BRIDGES/REFRAINS AND SOLO'S UP TO SUITABLE JUICE OF NICE HEARING SOUNDS THAT YOU FEEL AS THE EMOTION YOU
WANT TO EXPRESS TO OTHERS"
5."BELIEVE THAT ALL THE GREAT COMPOSERS
HAVE ALL THE SAME TOOLS THAN YOU BUT
YOU HAVE AN ASTUCE MORE THAN THEN AND THAT IS CREATIVITY FAR ABOVE EVERYTHING"

yours sincerally Luc - Belgium - Europe

"rather an empty wallet then a
broken guitarstring"
(found that one myself)
