i don't have much to spend (350-370 US) but i wan't some effects to mess around with etc. Now concidering my price range i was interested what you guys think will be my best option, i could get a rack unit, however i could pay extra and get a foot control for it, or i could get a floor unit with built in foot controler, and last but not lest i could buy a few stompboxes.

so there is my options, what do you guys think would be the best?

also if anyone has any suggestions of brands, models, and prices of some units, i would appreciate it.

I'd suggest a used boss GT-6 or GT-3

Really good units.

I would vote for the Digitech GNX-3.

I want one so bad.

If you can find a new GT-3 it would be in your price range ... The GT-6 is only 30 bucks over your limit , that's not too much I think.

I vote for the GNX 3 digitech also. I love the Digitech sounds.
So. If you throw a cat out of a car window, is it considered "kitty litter"?

wow, you guys get things alot cheaper there in the US, the $350US was a guess based on the current exchange rate, however the prices of these items is double my price range when sold here in oz.

i have been looking at a Digitech, RP300 i think any comments on this unit?

I'm using a GNX2 and love it. It is very different from Mr Pod and the two compliment each other very nicely !
My instructors page and www.studiotrax.net for all things recording.

Well, actually, the Roland is probably out of your price range, but a used one might be within it. A cool unit, optional foot controller, lots of effects. Basically a rack mount GT-6 without all the fancy dials.
... and that's all I have to say about that.

If you happen to see a used Yamaha DG Stomp, give it a try! Good sounds, and easy to tweak. You turn actual knobs to change parameters, instead of scrolling through menus.
