They can be great, if set up properly, and they can be your worst nightmare, if not set up properly.

It will take a while to get used to using it. The thing that I found works for me is say you are tuning your guitar with a chromatic tuner.

You tune them all to pitch right? So when you go back to the Low E it's no longer in tune. So whenever you see that it's not in tune, look at your tuner and see how many cents flat/sharp it is. (cent= number of dots on the tuner, 5 cents flat would be one bar left of in tune) Tune the string so it's 5 cents sharp. And then do the same for every string.

When you tune the low strings, it tends to pull the high strings out of tune, and vice versa, so using this trick will help. It also helps to tune like this:

Low E
then
High E
then A
then B
then D
then G

That helps with the tuning as well.

As far as everthing else it should be pretty cool.

A couple of down falls is you aren't going to be able to alter your tunings, (Drop D, D, B) very well, because the floyd has to be adjusted each time you change tunings, gauges of strings, etc...

Hope that helps. Anymore questions just ask.

Sometimes I hit notes only dogs can hear.
