Do you mean improving your ear? If so, there're a couple things you could do.

Try out free programs on the net for ear training. Just do a google search, you'll find some.

Try to sing along when you play your scales.

Get someone else to play a chord or scale and identify it's type, or get someone to play two notes and identify the interval (without looking, of course) - this is like using an ear training program but using a real person to help.

Haha, no NTM, I'm acctually not talking about baseball..

Yes, the Dirt, I was talking about improving my ear, and you answer seems good to me.. but when you wrote singing, I just came up with an idea!

If I pick a note and let it ring and start to finding that note in singing, I should learn how to take a E, and a C and so on.. Could I learn myself singing really good by doing this?

Stupid question maybe.. Well, thanx anyway..

Also when learning new songs try to fugure them out by yourself, don't look at tabs. Do as much as you can on your own.

You could try playing a note on your guitar, and make sure you know what note it it, and then try to sing it. Once you get good at singing in unison with your guitar, try different intervals like a perfect fifth, or a major seventh above the note your playing. After that, try singing along to scales on your guitar, in unison or harmony. This'll really get your ears going. Infact, its something I've been meening to do but haven't gotten around to cause I havent gotten past all the easier ear training excersises I know. :)

And God said, 'Let there be rock!'
