Another wood question

The origional question was what is the tonal difference between cedar and spruce? I'm thinking of getting a decent acoustic soon, or at least a hollow-body electric, and I wasn't entirely sure what materials are best for those.

Not all the properties described are consistant with the same wood used in electrics, that's kind of interesting. I'm more than a bit curious as to which tonal set hollow body electrics are in.
