If anyone has heard this song, can you tell me what effect the guitar player is using when playing the riffs/lead?

I think its just a bit of delay, theres very little effect on it. Then again I dont know too much about effects, I like the organ-like sound of the lead tho, especially the verse riff.

My friend and I thought it was definetly a combination of effects. Distortion and possibly a phase shifter or flange. Something like that, that would make that organ kinda sound.

Well theres a little distortion, from the amp, other than that I think its just their normal set up. The sound isnt too different from their usual sound, I think its just the way its played that creates the organ effect.

Well alot of the other stuff, has a very "guitar" trebly, sound to it. This is very different from their other songs. Plus, I have never heard a sound like this in any other song.

I think the Strokessound in general is based on just distortion and compression. No phase-shifters, flangers and certainly no delay. The guitarline in 12:51 is, for what I hear, just a cool distortion (I got a Big Muff pi and can get a similar tone) compressed beyond recognition.

Does anyone have any factual info on this; seen them live and checked their gear ?

Nick-Gibson Es345 and LP Junior through a Fender Deville 410, not sure about pedals, though I have seen that he has a pedal board, not big though.

Albert-Fender Strat, Fender Deville 410 or 212, also with a few pedals.

*I also got a similar tone through my LP by using the bridge pickup with my Blues Driver tone all the way up, and mild distortion. However, the sound is very "keyboard" like or "organ", which is really cool.
