I hooked my 5150 combo to a Marshall 4x12 cab and mic'd the cab instead of the combo speakers. What do you think of this sound?

Sounds great. A little heavy on the reverb, but otherwise I like it. Very "brown".
So. If you throw a cat out of a car window, is it considered "kitty litter"?

Sounds great.
But is it my imagination, or is that thing panned hard left? Why is that?
I noticed it on that link in your signature as well, and its kind of distracting.

Sounds great. LIke the others said tho..I'd pan it dead center and just use the reverb on the left & right just to add a bit of atmosphere. If it's played live through an amp, I'd play around with the feedback a bit too just to give it that 'live' feeling instead of sounding like it was done with Amplitube or something.

reminds me of the old metalish stuff or rock...really reminds me of van halen,,cool tho
In memory of Randy Rhoads

Hey thanks for the comments! For that clip i panned it to the left to try and get that old VH feel just for fun.

I got one of those, except I got the Floyd, a Psycho Splatter Paint job, and a reverse headstock. One of my best playing guitars. I perfer it to some of my vintage Kramers...:)

hey fellow VH fan....sounds great :)
That's the sound I like...nice & powerful & still clear enough to make out the individual strings.
Digit sent me this sound clip btw, if anybody's interested in doing a comparison with the real thing.
It's a single track from VH's solo on BeatIt.
(Panned left with reverb on the right of course)
Don't have a clue where it came from so if anybody knows, gimme a heads up. I'd be real interested in begging or borrowing every guitar track from VH's first album.

Thanks schmange! Wow!! that Beat it clip sounds note for note. Almost sounds like it's the actual track from the album eq'd a little different. If you find out who did it, can you send me a PM. Thanks.
