Does anybody know what downstemmed notes are and how you play them

haha yea, stemmed means tuned in swedish and perhaps norweigen and danish: o

Well in danish, "stemme" means tune, so i guess thats what you mean.

If you for an example tune your 6th string down to D instead of an E, then it should be easier to play riff on the top 3 strings...
I felt like putting a bullet between the eyes of every panda that didn't want to screw to save it's species..
