i have a jackson RR5. i love it. the feel is great and the sound is perfect for what i want to do (metal), but it also has a very nice clean fat sound
To improve technique and of course trying to keep all as clean as possible. I know my own limits and speed limits and so on I never play anything I'm not capable of. That wouldn't make any sense. After three years of playing I tried to play everything as fast as possible and that sounded, I would say, like shit, and I didn't realize that if I'd play bit slower things than I was capable of playing then everything would sound much better.

it's got a Seymour JB and a Seymour SH-2

the pickups are extremely versatile i can get the Zakk sound and the randy sound. just depends on the rest of the setup

I have a Jackson soloist , and I've played most of the Jackson models .

None sounds like Randy Rhoads or Wylde , but you can install EMG's 81/85 and get the Zakk Wylde's tone (I donno what pickups Rhoads used , but I was never fond of his tone !).

The Rhoads is a great guitar , but you can't sit down with it comfortably... For the look , I'd go with the King V , and for the playability I'd stick with the Soloist, but that's just me .
