Yeah, me and three other guys are starting a band, and here's a list of potential names we've come up with and was wondering which one you liked best:

I have to say, I'm not too fond of any of those. They make you sound like one of those half assed punk bands.
-edit- We're named after the Yngwie Malmsteen song Black Star. It does have a rather nice ring to it. So you can get band names from anywhere.

the band i was the bassist in was called 'Freck', this came about because i and the lead singer were talking on MSN, and he was calling me a freak, however he spelt it wrong, and we thought this misspelling was so funny that as a joke i nicknamed the band 'The Frecks', and it kinda stuck.
now that i have said that, i also don't like any of the names, but if i was to pick one it would be the last one 'F Bomb'...

Hmm dont like the really long band names. Seems quite tacky to me. My choice, again, would be F-bomb

Kapone
Rolling Nowhere (pretty much what the band did)
One-Legged Dog Catcher
Stumpmonkey
Pom Tetty
I think that is all the stupid ones.

Captain Coconut and the Second Coming of the Mojo Parade was my first band ever. We were into Hendrix and drop B tuning haha. I liked that Tommy and the Two Tones or whatever that one is with all the T's. Catchy.

Best band name I ever heard was "Marshall Law" (instead of Martial Law, gedit?), they probably won't get sued by mettalica cause one of their earlier producers spawned them.

Well Jolly, while I thank you for your grammatical correction, how do you know I didn't spell it that way on purpose? Also since someone out there is going to be offended by just about anything you do these days, why not just make it blatant enough, but respell a word (or two) so make it arguable enough to say maybe it isn't what they think. Hell Panchas could be an illegal roofer and the 5 nail slam could be his fellow illegal roofer buddies. Hmmmm you gotta realize I am all about shock value. Also just think the more churches and bible beaters protest the band name, the more publicity the band gets. You can't buy that much exposure. Hell look what it did for Marilyn Manson...
