This may seem simple to some but i haven't played as long as some. I have only played on an open back amp since I have started playing. My question is what would be the difference between an open back sound vs a closed back sound?
"I use heavy strings,
tune low, play hard and
floor it. Floor it.
That's technical talk.

typically, a closed-back amp will provide more and tighter bottom end. the presence or absence of porting makes a difference as does the overall size of the cab and the material it is made from.

The open back cab will give you literally a more open, breathing sound, a bit wider and higher...but these are generalizations and don't always work out that way

Closed back will definetely have a higher presence of low -end.

Thanks. I appreciate the response. Thought it would be something simple but one never knows unless they ask.
